FAQs:

I have seen a product in a magazine/on the internet that I really like, can I have it in my bathroom?

We strive to source all the products you would like and choice is not limited to set products and ranges. We do though only order products direct from manufacturers to ensure we can maintain continuity with our service and guarantees. If we cannot get the exact product you have seen we will endeavour to source an alternative that is as close as possible to one you originally saw.

I work full-time and won’t be at home when my new bathroom is being installed, how can I feel reassured about their being tradesmen in my home when I am not there?

Unlike other bathroom companies we keep the use of sub-contractors to a minimum, for example, they are only used when a specialist trade is required, such as an electrician. All our bathroom fitters are employed directly by us and have a Disclosure certificate (www.disclosurescotland.co.uk) which gives you peace of mind of who is working in your home.

How long will it take for you to install my new bathroom?

The timescale will obviously depend on the amount of work you have chosen to have done, the average time is 1-2 weeks from start to finish, however where possible we ensure you have safe access to the facilities you need throughout the fitting process.

What happens to my old bathroom suite?

We organise the delivery and collection of a suitable skip at no extra cost to ensure the safe removal of all your old bathroom’s fixtures and fittings.

Will I be left without water or electricity when my new bathroom is being installed?

We promise you will always have access to a flushing toilet and basic washing facilities while we install your new bathroom. We endeavour to replace sinks, baths and showers the same day we remove your existing ones and will always prioritise work to fit in with your lifestyle. You may be left without power or water for a very short amount of time while work that directly affects them is being carried out, for example, major re-wiring or a complete new heating system.

How can I maintain the fresh and new appearance of my bathroom?

It is limescale that causes your bathroom to quickly lose its shiny, pristine appearance and this will occur if you live in a hard water area: a water softener will solve this problem. Having a water softener installed is something we highly recommend if you live in a hard water area and Ely Bathrooms can do this at the same time as fitting your new bathroom. East Anglia is classed as a very hard water area of the UK – click here to get information on the how hard the water is in your postcode area. Having a water softener installed will mean that your new bathroom will keep looking new as it won’t be plagued by unsightly limescale deposits. A water softener will put a stop to chalk and orange rings around your bath or sink as well as preventing your shower head being inefficient due to the build up of limescale clogging the shower holes.
